October in Venice

This is the Look & Feel of October in Venice. Enjoy the color mood which you can take in best from above. It’s cobalt blue paired with a pale coral hue and stunning bright skies. Clear cut, cool in the morning. Crisp and decisive. Call October the painter’s season. October is harvest time with the hues of red apples, orange squash and the first winter greens. Yet, there’s a hint of summer and spring in the air.

This is the northern Lagoon seen from above. We cover harvest time in the Lagoon in this blog post on Le Vignole, and here in our article on harvesting grapes in the LagoonRead the story of Venetian wine in this article.

Torcello in the foreground, behind are Burano to the left, Mazzorbo in the middle, Mazzorbetto to the right.
